Brianna & Tom’s waterfall wedding was an intimate ceremony surrounded by the natural beauty in Connecticut. Brianna & Tom knew they wanted to keep their wedding day limited to just family and that they wanted to be surrounded by nature. So of course, Devil’s Hopyard State Park provided the perfect setting with the Chapman Falls as the backdrop for their ceremony.
Brianna and Tom have been together for about twenty years (!!!) and have three children together, so for them eloping was not just making their marriage official, but also celebrating in a way that was true to their low-key, laid back lifestyle. That’s why they only invited their closest family to take part. The ceremony, which took place on the large boulder shelf in front of Chapman Falls, was even officiated by Tom’s sister.
After their ceremony, Brianna & Tom took some photos with their families in front of the falls, and then explored some of the trails at Devil’s Hopyard.
Since their elopement took place in the summer, it was hot as blazes! Before finishing our portraits for the day, I was able to convince Brianna & Tom to go wading in the river to cool off before they headed off for their reception barbeque with the family at their home.
